July 2026
After a busy summer supporting productions across America, Europe and Asia, we’re sharing a snapshot with you of what we’ve been working on so far in 2026. As our team and international presence continue to grow, ionoco remains focused on pushing boundaries, bringing innovative creative ideas to life and supporting fantastic entertainment.
Earlier this year, we welcomed Chris Parsons as the Managing Director of ionoco. Many of you will know Chris from the projects that he has worked with us for over the years, so we’re really excited to have him join us on a full-time basis.
Chris has worked in TV and broadcast for over 25 years, has helped produce hundreds of hours of content and has launched and run dozens of TV channels. Chris’ strong managerial experience, coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit make him a great addition to the team.
Chris said: “I’m thrilled to have joined ionoco full time. I’ve worked with Simon Ingram and the team for many years and it felt like a great opportunity to join a fantastic company at this time. ionoco is a very special business, with some amazing people and, along with Simon and the team, I am confident that we can help expand its core gameshow business and beyond.”
With Chris now managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the group, this gives Simon Ingram, our Chief Executive more freedom to work on exciting new formats, to offer more support to our existing clients and to take the business into new areas.

Reaching 500 million subscribers is a milestone unlike any other, and MrBeast marked the occasion in spectacular fashion with the YouTube Legends Special, bringing together 50 of the platform’s most influential creators for one of the biggest YouTube productions to date.
Known for pushing the boundaries of online entertainment, MrBeast continues to redefine what creator-led productions can achieve, combining huge audiences with television-scale production values. This show was no different, with YouTube legends competing to win $1,000,000 for their fans. With the support of bespoke ionoco technology, these games included identifying which of five lamborghinis was secretly made of cake, tackling a huge game of the floor is lava, and bringing Minecraft to life by building a house in the real world.
MrBeast’s ‘YouTube Legends Special’ is another example of how digital-first creators are continuing to raise the bar for entertainment, blending the creativity of online content with the production quality traditionally associated with broadcast television. We’re delighted to continue supporting MrBeast projects that push those boundaries.
We can’t wait for you to see what else we’ve been working on over the summer with Team Beast. It promises to be spectacular…
ionoco-supported entertainment media continues to maintain a strong presence in the US, with the return of Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss? The 1% Club and Season 8 of Beat Shazam.
Greg Gutfeld’s ‘What Did I Miss?’ returned in May, bringing its unique mix of comedy, commentary and current events back to audiences. Alongside with our traditional game play technology, we worked closely with the FOX studio team to integrate into the studios pre-existing technology infrastructure, ensuring a smooth transition from the daytime studio setup into the What Did I Miss set, with which we pulled off some great episodes. All in a weekend’s work for the ionoco team!
Earlier this month, The 1% Club returned for the second half of season 2, putting contestants’ logic and lateral thinking to the ultimate test. With the trust of Magnum Media, we worked alongside the fantastic team at React Interact for the US version, integrating with their tablets for all gameplay elements. In addition, our high-end media servers drive all the LED content around the set. Coupled with a record number of lighting triggers which our team and systems handled with ease.
This week, Beat Shazam returned for another highly anticipated season of music, competition and big cash prizes. Hosted by the brilliant Jamie and Corrine Foxx, created by the incredible team at Apploff Entertainment, and proudly supported by us at ionoco, the fast-paced game show challenges contestants to identify hit songs the fastest.
As the entertainment market continues to evolve, we are proud to continue delivering game systems to support some of the nation’s most loved formats.
ionoco-supported shows Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble continue to air on The CW, bringing two iconic game show formats to screens.
Both shows utilise our core traditional gameshow technology, from responsive buzzers and live screen feeds, to bespoke coded touch screens integrated into player podia, allowing contestants to select letters during gameplay.
Make sure to check them both out, airing every Thursday on The CW, and available to stream on CWTV.
It was an honour to sponsor the latest iteration of Brains Behind the Games.
The event brought together professionals from across the entertainment and production industries, creating an opportunity for networking, collaboration, and conversations around the future of interactive entertainment and broadcast technology.
At ionoco, we believe that great content is built not only on strong formats and reliable systems, but on the people and partnerships that come together to make a fantastic viewing experience for the audience. Supporting industry events such as the Spring Mixer is an important part of maintaining those relationships and contributing to the wider community.
As our work continues to expand internationally, staying connected to the people shaping the future of game shows and entertainment remains a key priority.
We would like to thank the Brains Behind the Games team for organising another fantastic event, and everyone who took the time to connect with us throughout the evening.
We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that bring together the talent, creativity, and expertise behind this industry!
The Wall continues to demonstrate the adaptability of a format built on scale, tension, and emotional storytelling in the Italian and Greek formats.
As one of our favourite formats to work on, we were honoured to be working alongside our great friends at Glassman Media to deliver the computer systems behind these versions.
As with the US version, alongside our traditional game show tech, ionoco supply a full array of bespoke sensors inside The Wall itself, to capture the movement of the balls as they drop down the wall and inform our system which area the ball has landed in. Our systems ensure this information is relayed in real-time back to the production team and also to the audio and lighting departments to trigger game play effects with millisecond accuracy.
As the format continues to travel internationally, the Italian and Greek versions reinforce its ability to connect with audiences across different cultures and markets, while consistently delivering quality entertainment.
Contact us today to find out how we can help take your project to the next level, from bespoke electronics and hardware to information feeds and interactive software. We specialise in bringing creative visions to life.
